Day by Day Itinerary
Your safari journey gets underway today! You can expect a pick-up from us at your hotel in or around Arusha. Arusha National Park, a park with stunning landscape and a high animal population, is where your guide will take you. Momella Lakes, Ngurdoto Crater, and Mount Meru make up the park’s three sections. You will go on a guided walking safari after a game drive. Walking allows you to have a wonderful view of giraffes, buffalos, and other wildlife. We’ll transfer you to Africa Safari Arusha at the end of the day so you can unwind by the pool.
Time to travel to Tarangire now! You may take in the stunning scenery of the neighboring communities, landscapes, and nature during the 2.5-hour drive. In Tarangire, which is renowned for its enormous population of elephants, baobab trees, and African pythons that climb trees, we’ll go on a full-day wildlife drive. We will travel to Africa Safari Lake Manyara at the conclusion of the day. You can dive into the swimming pool first.
Today is the day to get moving. We’ll set out for a hike along the Great Rift Valley wall first thing in the morning. As we make our way through the banana fields to the Rift Valley wall, we will begin in the village of Mto wa Mbu. The walk will be quite rocky and steep, so make sure you are wearing excellent hiking shoes. When you reach the top, you may take in the breathtaking panoramic view of Mto Wa Mbu and Lake Manyara. You’ll be shocked by how green everything is! We’ll go down to where the bikes are waiting for us after taking a little break. You’ll experience the village on the bike trip, and you’ll eat lunch with a local family.
A genuine Tanzanian encounter. We will return to Africa Safari Lake Manyara in the afternoon.
We’ll get up early today, have breakfast, and then drive into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s biggest complete crater. An estimated 30,000 big mammals live in the crater. The Big Five, including the African black rhinoceros, as well as other animals like hyenas, zebras, and elephants, to name a few, call this conservation area home. Because of its natural bounds, the area is home to a variety of wildlife. We leave for Ndutu/South Serengeti at the conclusion of the day, where we spend the night at Africa Safari South Serengeti. The Great Migration’s calving season, the absolute high point of the yearly wildebeest migration, is celebrated in this region.
We shall travel to the Serengeti today. We will reach the Serengeti gate after a few hours of driving. We’ll go on a game drive in this lovely park full afternoon after lunch. The Serengeti is renowned for its never-ending savannah expanses and woodland settings. A migration of roughly 1.5 million herbivores and their followers is what makes the park famous.
We will arrive at Africa Safari Ikoma at the end of the day. The area is ideal for exploring the Serengeti because it is situated between the Serengeti Seronera, Grumeti, and Ikorongo Game Reserves. It’s the ideal refuge for unwinding while taking in the birdlife or simply unwinding while taking in the sounds of the African wilderness.
We’ll go on a game drive in the Ikona Wildlife Management Area to start the day today. Over 242 square kilometers of pure wilderness, this region is home to a variety of animals, including herds of elephants, waterbucks, black and white Colobus monkeys, wary leopards, and both larger and smaller kudus. In the late afternoon, a ranger will lead us on a walking safari through the area, which will conclude with a sundowner. A distinctive encounter! The next night will be spent at Africa Safari Ikoma or a comparable location.
Our game drives in the Serengeti will continue today as we travel north. We are able to cross the Mara River during the migration season. Be astounded by the numerous creatures that are crossing the river. It’s an adventure of a lifetime! We’ll spend the night at Africa Safari Maasai Boma Lodge at the end of the day. The lodging was designed in the style of a typical Maasai boma, as suggested by its name. You can see why if you look around you because you are right where they are. Even though the settlement of Ololosokwan is not formally part of a game reserve or national park, there is nevertheless game to be found there.
Our journey to Lake Natron will begin after breakfast. The drives leading from the northern Serengeti are far-flung, with a barren, unearthly grandeur and an unmatched sense of expanse and history. The routes run through unexplored Maasai territory, with enormous mountains and little bomas frequently visible amid a desolate, cauterized terrain. The lake attracts about two million flamingos from June to November. We can stop at the hot springs en route to the lodge. At Lake Natron, Africa Safari, we’ll spend the night. The lodge includes a pool that blends into the scenery around it and offers breathtaking views of the nearby Mount Ol Doinyo Lengai, a still-active volcano. Take in the vista! Your guide can accompany you on a 10-minute stroll to the lake from the lodge.
Your guide will lead you on an exciting hike to the waterfalls in the morning; wear sturdy walking shoes. There are several Maasai settlements nearby, and a Maasai will be your hike’s guide. You will travel to Mto wa Mbu after lunch to spend the night at Africa Safari Lake Manyara or comparable location.
We’ll visit Lake Manyara today. This park is renowned for its stunning vistas, waterfalls, clear water babbling brooks, and hot springs. We will spend the entire day on a game drive in Lake Manyara, and in the late afternoon, we will return to Arusha, where we will arrive just in time for dinner.
